Easterseals Eastern PA has been a leading provider of Early Intervention for decades. Our therapists and teachers are experts in child development and pediatric therapy and will collaborate with you to develop goals that you feel are most important. Our birth to three services include:

• Physical Therapy: gross motor skills; movement; muscle tone; balance; coordination.
• Speech Therapy: speaking; communication using sign language and pictures; feeding & swallowing.
• Occupational Therapy: fine motor skills; sensory processing; play & social skills; activities of daily living; feeding challenges.
• Special Instruction: behavior & learning challenges; communication, play & social skills; overall development.

Location

Services provided in your home or wherever you child spends his/her day. Available in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Pike Counties.

Services are incorporated into the child’s daily routines and in the child’s natural environment, such as their home or childcare center. Providers use coaching to build on what caregivers are already doing and to increase confidence and comfort when helping their child.

Eligibility & Cost

Services are provided at no cost to families and are available for children from birth to age 3. A referral for early intervention services can be made by parents, physicians, or other professional, and then eligibility is determined through a formal evaluation to assess the child's development.
