We are seeking a full‑time Insurance Billing Specialist (Medical Biller) to support the continued growth of our pediatric outpatient services in Reading, Pennsylvania. Our center provides occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, and ABA behavior services.
The ideal candidate is dedicated, compassionate, organized, and professional, with a strong attention to detail. Pediatric billing experience is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask and learn quickly are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Scrub claims to ensure that all diagnosis codes (ICD-10-CM) and procedure codes (CPT/HCPCS) meet coding standards and comply with guidelines and regulations
- Submit scrubbed claims to appropriate payers
- Post payments, manage accounts receivable, review and resolve denials and inquiries
- Reconcile daily cash receipts reports to ensure all batch deposits are accurately balanced and recorded
- Document all follow up efforts in a clear and concise manner into the accounts receivable system
- Initiate refunds if necessary
- Support Revenue Cycle Management initiatives and efforts
- Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided
- Deploy, maintain and report on various programs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
What You Bring
- 2 years of medical coding and billing experience required
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Electronic Health Record system experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain benchmarks such as production and low error rate
- Bilingual a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, billing software, 10-key, ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology
