Impact

We work alongside each individual we serve to help them discover their strengths, reach their goals, and achieve their greatest potential.

A group of children and adults playing in a grassy park hold a colorful parachute over a girl in a wheelchair who is laughing.

I know that Lilly is being taken care of and nurtured in so many ways. She’s given the opportunity to grow and try new things. As a result, she has blossomed into her independence.

Our history began with children who needed specialized medical care that was not available and the people who came together to fill the need. Every chapter through the years is very much the same: providing innovative services, advocating for inclusion, reaching for independence and celebrating achievements. Watch the video and celebrate with us.

Stories of Success

Our history is made up of countless individual stories that come together to make Easterseals who we are. Sharing stories of the children, adults, and caregivers whose lives have been transformed by our services is the best way to demonstrate our impact.

  • A 5-year-old boy wearing blue glasses lies on a platform swing, propped on elbows, with colorful chairs and a blue bean bag in the background.

    Meet Benny

Benny is a fun-loving five year old with cerebral palsy. When he started therapy, he was shy and not always cooperative, but that quickly changed. Learn about his drive to achieve his goals.
  • A young girl with glasses lays on a large, woven swing, wearing a plaid shirt, navy pants, and leg braces, reaching playfully.

    Meet Renna

Renna was not reaching key milestones typical for a child her age. With help from Easterseals, she is now on the path to being kindergarten ready.
  • A child with long hair wearing a black shirt poses playfully in a bright, indoor setting.

    Meet Sam

Through Easterseals Autism Diagnostic Clinic, Sam received an evaluation quickly and had the diagnosis needed to receive services. The diagnosis got him started on the journey to treatment so he could live his best life.
  • A girl in a navy tank top sits in a wheelchair, holding a yellow wiffle ball bat, with a colorful background of a play area.

    Meet Lilly

Lilly is a bright, independent young girl who attends Camp Lily. She is a true camp ambassador who draws everyone into the fun. Lilly’s mother attributes this confidence in part to how comfortable and secure Lilly feels at camp.
  • A young child in a bright yellow floral shirt holds a white ball, standing against a light gray wall with a wooden floor.

    Meet Peyton

Peyton was nonverbal at age two when she began receiving Early Intervention services from Easterseals. Today, she is independently speaking and communicating, engages more with people, and can clearly make her needs known.
