Community Supports
For adults who need support developing life skills, participating in community life, and engaging in satisfying activities of their own choosing.
Overview
Our Community Supports program enables adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enrich their lives, enjoy a full range of activities in the community, and explore and engage in meaningful and purposeful activities based on personal preferences and needs.
Participating in the program has transformed Brody from being nonverbal and timid to speaking up for himself and leading his peers in activities. Being exposed to new things has been life-changing for Brody and his true personality is now emerging.
Activities and experiences
Here is a sampling of the many things participants in the program enjoy doing.

-
Learn how to access your community by developing skills that support independence, like using public transportation, grocery shopping, managing a budget, doing laundry – or whatever else you want to learn! -
Volunteer to use your skills and talents to help nonprofit organizations with missions that align with your interests. Want to serve others? Join Matt at Meals on Wheels! Love pets? Help take care of them at the local shelter. The opportunities are endless. -
We organize group activities so you can socialize with friends and meet new people. -
Meet up with a friend or two for a round of bowling. -
Meet up for lunch with friends after volunteering, going to the gym or doing your grocery shopping. -
