Day Camps
We are hiring counselors for both day camps, Camp Lily Lehigh Valley in Orefield and Camp Lily Berks on Mount Penn. Both camps offer a traditional outdoor camp experience with indoor air conditioned spaces and outdoor pool. At both locations, campers participate in diverse activities from 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday for six weeks beginning June 29.
Orientation and training takes place the week prior to camp and includes: positive behavior supports; mobility and transfer techniques; inclusion and social skills modeling; choice giving strategies; silliness and fun making. Counselors assist the Camp Director in planning and implementing group activities that are fun, safe and appropriate for campers and modeling the skills needed to ensure each camper has a positive and successful experience. Requirements: minimum 18 years old, have at least two years working in a classroom or camp setting, demonstrate the ability to work with children and teens with varied developmental levels and special needs, and have a valid driver’s license. Overnight camp in the Poconos
Easterseals Camp Growing Green is an innovative camp for youth and adults with disabilities located on the campus of the Pocono Environmental Education Center in Dingmans Ferry, PA. Growing Green campers gain environmental awareness while also enjoying traditional camp activities like canoeing, nature walks, and campfires. Fully-accessible air conditioned lodging, dining hall, and on-site nurse. ACA accredited. Camp runs for six weeks beginning June 28. Weekly camp sessions run from Sunday through Friday. Counselors are off on Saturday.
